Dr. Kalaignar Government Arts College, Ayyarmalai, Kulithalai, Karur District. Tamilnadu 639120 was established in the year 2007 at the extent of 22 acres (approx.) by the Government of Tamilnadu. It is situated at the foothill of the Ayyarmalai Mount, which is a historical place with a temple on the top, eight kilometres away from the town of Kulithalai, situated on the banks of the Cauvery river with the widest point from Musiri across. Its location is marked with a remarkable rustic simplicity.
The institution is affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli 620024. It was recognized under 2 (f) & 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956 on 22.06.2016. C-35851 is the AISHC of the institution. It is a participant of the IR NIRF and RUSA. NAAC Committee accessed our college infrastructures and other amenities and awarded ‘C’ grade to our college on March 2020.
