About Our College
Dr. Kalaignar Government Arts College, Ayyarmalai, Kulithalai, Karur District. Tamilnadu-639120 was established in the year 2007 at the extent of 22 acres (approx.) by the Government of Tamilnadu. It is situated at the foothill of the Ayyarmalai Mount, which is a historical place with a temple on the top, eight kilometres away from the town of Kulithalai, situated on the banks of the Cauvery river with the widest point from Musiri across. Its location is marked with a remarkable rustic simplicity.
The institution is affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli-620024. Offered programmes Under Graduate – BA (Tamil, English, History), BSc (Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics, Physics, Nutrition and Dietetics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology), BCA, B.Com (English & Tamil Medium), B.Com (Computer Application) and BBA. Post Graduate – MA (Tamil, English), MSc (Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics, Physics) and M.Com. Research Ph.D Tamil, Ph.D Electronics, Ph.D Computer Science, Ph.D Mathematics, Ph.D Commerce, & Ph.D Physics.
It was recognized under 2 (f) & 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956 on 22.06.2016. C-35851 is the AISHC of the institution. It is a participant of the IR NIRF and RUSA. NAAC Committee accessed our college infrastructures and other amenities and awarded 'C' grade to our college on March 2020.
National Service Scheme (NSS)
The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Dr. Kalaignar Government Arts College, Kulithalai actively engages students in community service and social development activities. Under the guidance of dedicated programme officers, the NSS Unit organizes (I) and (II) regular camps, awareness rallies, tree plantation drives, blood donation camps, and cleanliness initiatives in the adopted villages around Ayyarmalai, and university-level camps, special camping programmes, and national integration events. Through these activities, students develop leadership skills, social responsibility, and a sense of civic duty while contributing to the welfare of rural communities, fostering holistic development beyond the classroom.

2025-2026 கல்வியாண்டில் நடத்தப்பட்ட நிகழ்வுகள்
முழு அறிக்கைபோதைப் பொருளுக்கு எதிரான தடுப்பு உறுதிமொழி மற்றும் விழிப்புணர்வு ஊர்வலம் – 26.06.2025
தமிழ்நாடு அரசு உயர் கல்வித்துறை வழிகாட்டுதலின்படி போதை தடுப்பு உறுதிமொழி மற்றும் விழிப்புணர்வு ஊர்வலம் முதல்வர் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்றது. கல்லூரி நுழைவு வாயிலில் உறுதிமொழி ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. சுமார் 100க்கும் மேற்பட்ட NSS மாணவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு அய்யர்மலை பேருந்து நிலையம் வரை ஊர்வலம் சென்றனர்.
உலக மக்கள் தொகை தினம் விழிப்புணர்வு கூட்டம் – 15.07.2025
NSS மற்றும் நேரு யுவகேந்திரா கரூர் இணைந்து மக்கள் தொகை விழிப்புணர்வு கூட்டம் நடைபெற்றது. முதல்வர் முனைவர் T.சுஜாதா தலைமை உரையாற்றினார். கைவினைப் பொருட்கள் போட்டியில் வெற்றி பெற்ற மாணவர்களுக்கு பரிசு வழங்கப்பட்டது.
போதை தடுப்பு விழிப்புணர்வு கருத்தரங்கம் – 30.07.2025
NSS மற்றும் போதை ஒழிப்புக் குழு இணைந்து போதை விழிப்புணர்வு கருத்தரங்கம் நடைபெற்றது. மதுவிலக்கு துறை, மனநல மருத்துவர், சமூக நலப்பணியாளர், கோட்டக்கலால் அலுவலர் ஆகியோர் போதை தடுப்பு குறித்து எடுத்துரைத்தனர்.
கல்லூரி வளாக தூய்மைப் பணி – 13.08.2025
79ஆவது சுதந்திர தின விழாவை முன்னிட்டு கல்லூரி வளாக தூய்மைப் பணி மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. சுமார் 100க்கும் மேற்பட்ட NSS மாணவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.
79ஆவது சுதந்திர தின விழா – 15.08.2025
முதல்வர் முனைவர் T.சுஜாதா தலைமையில் தேசியக் கொடி ஏற்றி வைக்கப்பட்டு சுதந்திர தின விழா நடைபெற்றது. பல்வேறு துறை தலைவர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவர்கள் திரளாக கலந்து கொண்டனர்.
புதுமுக பயிற்சி வகுப்பு (Orientation Program) – 03.09.2025
NSS மாணவர்களுக்கான புதுமுக பயிற்சி வகுப்பு நடைபெற்றது. முதல்வர் தலைமை உரையாற்றினார். NSS அலுவலர்கள் பயிற்சி அளித்தனர். சுமார் 100 முதலாம் ஆண்டு மாணவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.
நலமான பெண்கள் வளமான குடும்பம் மருத்துவ பரிசோதனை முகாம் – 25.09.2025
இனுங்கூர் வட்டார மருத்துவமனை இணைந்து மருத்துவ பரிசோதனை முகாம் நடைபெற்றது. உயரம், உடல் எடை, பல் பரிசோதனை, ரத்தப் பரிசோதனை செய்யப்பட்டது. சுமார் 100 மாணவர்கள் பயன் பெற்றனர்.
NDRF விபத்து தடுப்பு ஒத்திகை
NDRF சார்பாக விபத்து தடுப்பு ஒத்திகை நிகழ்ச்சி அய்யர்மலை ரத்தினகிரிஸ்வரர் கோவிலில் நடைபெற்றது. NSS மாணவர்கள் நூறு பேர் பங்கு பெற்றனர்.
மரக்கன்றுகள் நடும் விழா – 17.12.2025
கரூர் மாவட்ட வனத்துறை இணைந்து மரக்கன்றுகள் நடும் விழா நடைபெற்றது. மேனாள் முதல்வர் Dr.R.ரவிச்சந்திரன் மற்றும் வனச்சரகர் Mr.T.சிவா சிறப்புரையாற்றினர். கல்லூரி வளாகத்தில் மகிழம், புங்கன், பாதாம், வாகை உள்ளிட்ட 700 மரக்கன்றுகள் நடப்பட்டன. சுமார் 300 NSS மாணவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.
NSS ஏழு நாள் சிறப்பு முகாம் – 20.01.2026 முதல் 26.01.2026
பாரதிதாசன் பல்கலைக்கழகம் மற்றும் கல்லூரி இணைந்து நடத்திய ஏழு நாள் சிறப்பு முகாம் அய்யர்மலை அரசு மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளியில் நடைபெற்றது. முகாமில் தூய்மைப் பணி, போதை ஒழிப்பு விழிப்புணர்வு பேரணி, வாக்காளர் விழிப்புணர்வு, சாலை விதிகள் குறித்த சிறப்புரை, சைபர் கிரைம் மற்றும் போக்சோ விழிப்புணர்வு, தியான பயிற்சி, மாணவர்களின் கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகள் ஆகியன நடைபெற்றன. 110 NSS மாணவர்கள் பங்கேற்றனர். 77ஆவது குடியரசு தின விழாவுடன் முகாம் நிறைவுற்றது.

The Alumni Association of Dr. Kalaignar Government Arts College, Kulithalai serves as a vital bridge between the college and its former students. Established to foster lifelong connections, the association works towards building a strong network of alumni who can contribute to the growth and development of their alma mater.
The association organizes reunions, guest lectures, career guidance sessions, and mentorship programs for current students. It also facilitates alumni contributions towards college development, scholarships for meritorious students, and infrastructure enhancement. Through its initiatives, the Alumni Association strives to uphold the college's legacy of academic excellence and social responsibility.
