About the Department

The Department of Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) at Dr. Kalaignar Government Arts College was established in 2015. We offer a three-year course designed to help students become experts in the world of computers. With a sanctioned strength of 50 students, we ensure that every student receives personal attention and a high-quality education. The lessons are easy to understand and cover important skills like building websites, creating mobile apps, and learning popular programming languages like Java, PHP and Python.

Our department provides excellent facilities to support student learning. We have a modern computer laboratory with high-speed internet, where students can practice coding and work on digital projects, smart classrooms with interactive boards, a well-stocked library with technical books.

After completing the BCA degree, students have many great job opportunities. They can work as Software Developers, Web Designers, Data Analysts, or System Assistants. Graduates are also qualified for roles like Cybersecurity Analyst, Technical Support Engineer, and Digital Marketing Specialist.
